Mama Mel's Pizzeria - St Louis

Family owned pizza place with super friendly staff. You can't go wrong with classic STL or Detroit style. They've been investing in the building and making the experience better. One thing they could do better is give better estimates on expected time for carry out orders. I've had a few times where I showed up at the expected time and still had to wait 15-25min additional.

We stopped by here on a whim whilst just looking for pizza on a Saturday night. All I can say is, wow! I woke up the next day dreaming of Mama Mel's pizza. We ordered a STL style deluxe. The toppings were generous, sauce perfect and the crust had ZERO FLOP! If you're looking for a cracker thin and crisp crust you can find it here. The owner has to be one of the nicest people on the planet. She is so welcoming and fun. We felt like family and we're treated as such. Mama Mel's is a perfect little hangout where you can get some great food and enjoy an easy going atmosphere. The crust comes from a local bakery and the dressings and sauces are made in house (and they are all delicious). They now offer a Detroit style pie. We already know the STL style rocks, and we will return to try the Detroit style. Thanks Mama Mel's!

The Detroit style pizza is outfrigginstanding. Seriously so good. Not 10/10 more like 15/10. It's that good. I stopped eating it to write this review. The Stl style is fantastic as well. Very friendly people here. Wherever else you order pizza from isn't this good. Give these people a try.

Best deep pizza I have had in St.Louis. Fresh cooked to order. Don't be in a hurry because there making it. Not made waiting for you to walk in. Great family pricing. Affordable Beer and Wine

I can't recall how we found this gem but we have returned countless times over this past year. Recently they added the Detroit style pizza and that quickly become the household favorite. The staff is super friendly and helpful. While I love their thin crust, the Detroit has my heart.
