Rupert's Deli - St. John's

It's hard to imagine anything worse to put in your mouth than something made by this horrible man. awful.

Rupert's has the best clubhouse sandwich in metropolitan St. John's. Easily the best I have ever had. The cheesecake is spectacular too. Their one downside is that they accept cash only, so you have to plan to have money with you to eat there, but it is well worth it. It is based in CBS so a little out of the way for people in town, but the trip is more than worth it. They do tend to sell out and close for the day, so you want to check ahead to ensure that they have food left for that day and that they are still open.

Best sandwich ever! Enough said. TripAdvisor wants me to write at least a 100 character review. Like I said, best sandwich ever!

Today was our first time trying Rupert's, i've been talking about going for months, and am a little dissappointed.First off- CASH ONLY, and very little seating (4 tables I believe)We bought 2 smokehouse clubs(NO SIDES) and a very small slice blueberry cheesecake to share for almost $30 (NO DRINKS PURCHASED EITHER)Bread was not home made, could not tell that my meat or cheesecake was smoked as this is what this restaurant is all about. Sandwich tasted fine but there wasn't much meat on either sandwich, a bit a shredded turkey and one slice of ham and one slice of tomato in the centre, very little bacon as well. When I asked which cheesecakes they had today, as I know from their Facebook page that its different everyday, I was told by the server bluntly that its on the board (didn't notice this as it was written very lightly on the board in the corner behind the server). I wont rush back.
