Old Ferry Boat - St Ives

I just had our high-time reception at the old ferry boat and it was amazing. the personal was fantastic and was so helpful in the facility, the day and the clean up. the food was great and we were really made to feel very special. we stayed also the night and was really impressed by the room and the breakfast in the morning was a wonderful, great opportunity to begin the married life. a special thanks to Christ who worked so hard to make the day perfect for us

That was excellent. well maintained gardens and parking. spotless pub and dining room. 50th birthday function and the best night. the functional room was stunning beautifully landscaped tables a wonderful buffet and a great dj that kept all night on our feet. the manager and her team worked out their socks and could not be more helpful. a well-run business. the rooms were comfortable and clean and we had a nice view of the river. the breakfast was also perfect. everything was hot and continuously refilled by the managerin and her team. fantastic high time, choreography, jubilee, birthday or any celebration they will not be disappointed. many thanks to all the ferryboat team xxx love the pinkerton’s xxx

I booked a table for 5 for the 80th birthday dinner of my mother. we traveled from essex and my aunt was brought down by derby. the personal was excellent, sorting a table inside with a flow view as desired in advance. the lunch session was very busy, but our eating came hot and fast. very attentive staff a flawlessly clean pub a jewel at the side of the river

Came here to birthday dinner and was not disappointed. we had a steak that was cooked, as we like it, in a nice cozy window seat with a view of the river. desert and wein were also delicious. friendly and helpful.

A must visit for anyone looking for a good classic pub serving hearty pub-grub meals, a really beautiful location next to the river. You can choose to sit indoors or out, both offering plenty of space and seating. The interior is absolutely fantastic, a really authentic old English pub, this alone was worth the visit. It's a really beautiful place. So start I ordered the Muscles and was not disappointed, served with a nice broth, a slice of bread and a decent amount of them, served nice and hot and very tasty. For the main I got the Sea Bass Risotto, with Scallops and Prawns. Very tasty, although I think it could have been slightly better if the risotto was served with the Arborio rice, this was served with standard rice which let it down a bit. The risotto itself could have also used a bit more flavor, but thankfully the fish and the scallops were very tasty and made up for that. Overall, I'd rate my particular food a 4 out of 5, but I'm whacking it up to a 5 out of 5 just because of the fantastic location, feel and atmospheric attraction that the pub provided. I inspected some other items from the menu as well such as the lamb shoulder, fish and chips and steaks. I have to say l, these were delicious. It could just be the Risotto that needs a little bit of modifying to meet the standards of the rest. Overall though, lovely food, lovely location and lovely atmosphere. Will definitely return again.
