China Emerald Buffet - St. Catharines

Excellent service, and the food was delightful! There was a great variety of foods available, including non-Asian dishes, and the hot&sour soup was really good!

Over the years, we had many meals here, both take out and eat in, and because it had been quite a while, decided to go there for a family birthday. We arrived at 5 expecting fresh food. Everything tasted like it had been sitting there since lunch…dried out, chewy, and some things impossible to even cut with a knife. Our first time in a long while, but definitely our last.

Absolutely the worst service I’ve experienced in my life. And was just a pick up order that never happened after 40 mins. So disorganized.

It's been over 8 years since I reviewed this place. Well some things change while others don't. Things that didn't change: The buffet items are virtually the same as in 2013. The decor is the same as it was back then. The taste of the food is the same. Things that changed: The place is under new management. The buffet price is double what it was 8 years ago. The bins at the hot table are nowhere near filled and not very hot, which takes away substantially from the dining experience. Synopsis: This used to be a good place to enjoy a decent meal at a reasonable price. Now honestly for near the same price you can get a much better meal by taking in a lunch at the Mandarin restaurant in St. Catharines or Niagara Falls.
