Cafe Zeller - St. Blasien

After a great, cool November hiker in the partly sunny, partly nebulized forest area around St Blasien, we returned with 12 people to Café Zeller and received immediately with open arms Quick 2 tables and after 5 minutes the first coffees and cakes in portion and quality came far above the average in the area We probably come here more often!

Situated slightly outside the Feldberg Hospital. Especially if you're on foot and don't always want to take the way down to the place, you'll be grateful for this nice and beautiful café located on the hiking trail and brook. Cake and chocolates are very tasty and the latter are also ideal as a gift. The atmosphere is not as hectic as in part in the local core and the service is rather unobtrusive. This makes you feel good at yourself with some reading at its café and Black Forest Kirsch. A place I find during every spa stay in St. Blasien. I haven't tried the hot dishes yet, but it sounds solid.

The cafe is just outside St. Blasien and that's also good. There are enough parking spaces in front of the cafe and in summer there are also outdoor seating. We always pick up our cake “to go” when we are close. If you come early enough (I'd say about 2:00 a.m.), then the selection is also really good. The fresh cakes with baiser taste the most tasty, depending on the season Rhabarber, blueberry etc. The currant cake is also extremely delicious. In autumn and winter we like to eat the apple cake. The pieces are not too small and the price/performance ratio is also very good. A clear recommendation from us!

Café Zeller is located just outside St.Blasien. There are tasty cakes and pastries as well as various coffee specialities. In the summer you sit outside in green.

I worked there as a confectioner in 1968 with Anton Zeller for a year summer and winter season. There I learned a lot about the production of chocolates and the real Black Forest Sahnetorte that I missed during a visit to the Cafe Zeller in 2015. The current owner was very distant and mouthfaul, we were the only guests) Outside the lawns and the pond could use care. The cafe facility was clean and well maintained.Leider was the same as 1968.
