Schmagel's Bagels - St. Augustine

First off i love the name. It?s just fun to say. Secondly, great bagels. If your in town and in the mood for bagels, look no further. Schmagel?s bagels is the bagel place.

It is a must to stop at Schmagel?s Bagels!!! The staff was so nice and the bagels are incredibly fresh!!! They have a great patio area to sit in and enjoy your breakfast sandwich. We had the everything bagel with lox and scallion cream cheese and thebreakfast bagel sandwich on an everything bagel with cheddar cream cheese. I would give this place more stars if I could!

By far the best bagels I've ever had. friendly and fast they are really craftsmen of their craftsmanship and deliver an incredible breakfast each time. an absolute jewel of a place with a beautiful outdoor terrace that has a very local atmosphere and a clearly floridic charm. I come back again and again, really can't say enough of what an A-point is.

It was our last morning in town and we stopped here for a pretty fast bite. the patrons sat in a very comfortable garden with a handful of tables. there are many people looking for the delicious bagels, but the amount is limited. so they stand in the line and gaze them patiently on the entertaining screen, as the availability is shown and the probabilities they want drift away. but really, that's kind of cool and keeps you engaged in a strange way. I like it. I assume the colorful owner of this device, helps to keep a maximum of 4 inside, the rest out, and the line moves. it is clearly a real family business and has a charm all its own. the bagels are worth the waiting time as the sorts of cream cheese. Don't miss this morning. tipp: park 2 blocks down the adjacent residential roads to avoid parking permit problems and have a beautiful morning walk.

Super cute patio and atmosphere! Five stars for location and staff! AND dog friendly!! Unfortunately, the lox bagel sandwich and breakfast wrap were just okay. They are very large and look delicious, but not the best flavor. I think what lowered our review from 4 to 3 stars was the price!! $40 for 2 coffees and 2 sandwiches? A dozen bagels for $25??! We are from New England and have many mom and pop bagel breakfast places and this place is almost double the price.
