Leroy's Cafe - St. Augustine

The food was OK, had southern Benedict. It was definitely a different take on typical eggs Benedict. Did not go away hungry and the price was right. Service was attentive, but restaurant was not busy. Did happen to notice cockroach climbing up the wall (welcome to Florida) Waitress informed us they had just sprayed. Don't think we'll go out of our way to go back.

If you 're on this end of town and looking for breakfast or lunch...and/or want a home-cooked type of meal, then this is your place. The sign on the outside says Not your average Hole in the Wall and that about sums it up. Nothing fancy, just good service and a good meal. The prices for the portions are fair and spot on. The place gets packed, so pack your patience during these times because it may take just a little longer than normal. There is outdoor seating sort of ...it 's like an enclosed porch and there is indoor seating as well. They have a private parking lot too. It 's where the locals go!

Good food and service has always been my experience though I don't live in the area anymore so it has been awhile. The 7 knapkin burger and tots were my usual for lunch. Biscuits and gravy with an egg for breakfast.

Stopped here on my way outta town. Exactly what I was looking for. A locally owned personal place with yummy food.There are reviews that have complained about the wait. If you want “fast food” you have other less yummy choices. What I saw was a friendly staff doing there best to accommodate the customers while dealing with the staff shortage we all are experiencing.
