Hong Kong Café - St. Augustine

This is my second visit, and I wasn't disappointed with the food. It's made fresh to order, though some dishes do take longer than others. The aromas are incredible and stand out compared to most other places in the area. The owner is very friendly and offers excellent recommendations for newcomers. I tried the garlic chicken and vegetables, as well as a spicy Winton dish. Be sure to make a reservation when you plan to visit, as the restaurant is quite small, but it's absolutely worth the wait. Authentic, fresh, and delicious! Each visit to this hidden gem of a restaurant surpasses the last. I've sampled almost all of the noodle and meat dishes, and I've never been disappointed. The owner is hands-on in the kitchen and genuinely cares about the customer experience. Just a note: this is true Cantonese cuisine, so if your idea of good Chinese food is places like Panda Express, you might want to steer clear! The Dim Sum is next on my list, and it's definitely worth stopping by for!

If you're planning to visit, it's a good idea to make a reservation since there are only a few tables available. Everything on the menu is absolutely delicious. I had the Spicy and Salted Frog Legs, and they were incredibly tender. I initially wanted to order the Spicy and Salted Roasted Eel Tempura, but Mr. Lee informed me that it costs $28, so I decided to opt for something else. (Perhaps I'll try it next time.) Mr. Lee was quite busy attending to various tables, but he still found time for a friendly chat.

Absolutely authentic Cantonese Chinese restaurant and really a hidden gem. The menu offers dimming, meat, seafood and vegetarian appetizers and entrees. Tsingtao on tap served in ice-cold cups. The crispy duck dumplings are a must. The shrimps were great. Miso soup was one of the richest I had. This place was added to my St. Augustine routine so that I can taste more dishes every time you visit.

Amazing experience. The owners are warm and friendly and the food was fantastic. Definitely a hidden gem. Dine in seating was available, but call for a reservation. You won't regret a visit to this place!!
