Playfair's Steak House - St Andrews

Playfair 's is a small steakhouse restaurant, very close to the famous golf course, The Old Course. It is located on one of the main streets of the small town of St Andrews, on North Street. They have a small terrace at the entrance, down a few steps, which makes you isolate from street traffic... The restaurant is decorated with the typical British pub touch, very cozy! My trip and I went for the same dish, and it seems that a lot of the people in the restaurant at that time, too, I'm not surprised! The Steak Sandwich was the chosen one, Take steak to the iron, caramelized onion and a delicious mustard mayonnaise! All accompanied by the Chunky Chips (gross and richest fries that I have tried in a very long time!You cannot miss this site if you visit this jewel of the Scottish coast! :

This is my favorite place to eat the food is fantastic and the staff is always polite and very helpful. we were there on 29 november for my birthday meal and it was exceptional. I can't recommend it enough! can wait to come back when we have a family-proof. always surpasses my expectations.

Yesterday at playfair with my partner for valentinstag. the standard of eating and service was excellent! our experience was made so pleasant with the food and the personal. in any case our favorite place to go now. can not recommend enough! brilliant!

Especially loved my starter. “Chilli garlic linguine with pickled seaweed”. all-hearted it was amazing with a fantastic taste and a perfect hit by chili! loved the broken seaweed up! we would definitely recommend this restaurant if they enjoy Scottish food, seafood and steak!

Always the best place to eat in st andrews, excellent eating and friendly staff.
