La Cucina - St Andrews

Genuinely wouldn’t recommend. Attended as a family and food was universally way below par. Presentation was really bad and the food is near the bottom of worst places I have dined. The staff were absolutely lovely however, very attentive and personable and I feel that corporate are letting them down.

Really not worth spending any money here. Pizza was terrible and barely cooked. Staff need more training, one literally took our dessert plate before we could even finish our food. Only booked here because 2 people in the group finished golf later than anticipated and it was easily located in the hotel. I wouldn't recommend and would definitely not eat again in staying at Fairmont Hotel

I was aware of the generally average reviews, but I decided to give this restaurant a chance. I regret that choice. Considering it is affiliated with a five-star hotel, the food was rather mediocre. The hotel’s management should take notice, as there are far better Italian restaurants in most Scottish towns than this one.

The experience was quite average. The food was decent, but the ambiance fell short of expectations. It felt more like being in a bustling airport terminal. This place is actually a part of the hotel rather than a typical restaurant. There were children running around, families with strollers, and staff constantly hurrying back and forth throughout the evening. Overall, it was definitely not a relaxing dining experience.

I had a wonderful meal at La Cucina, particularly enjoying the seafood linguine and panna cotta.
