Bidrage med feedbackI consider myself to be an ice cream aficionado and this space is unfortunately just a glorified lemonade stand. When we went in today there was ONE kind of gelato! That does not seem reasonable if you actually use the word gelato in your business name. We settled for 2 regular ice cream cones in waffle cones... for $12! They do not make this ice cream, it 's the same typical ice cream that everybody else sells or you can buy for yourself at the grocery store. They have the audacity to charge $12 for two very small portions. I can 't wait until the craft ice cream model from Calgary arrives in Northern Alberta. Until that happens I think I 'll save my money and my waistline. *Please note that the only reason this was not a 1 star review was because of the friendly service we received.
Our family loves this little place. Last time we came there was a very nice girl working who explained the Gelato has no additives, explained how the sizes worked and was very patient with my kids while making their big decision. Tonight however a different girl was not friendly, not patient and scolded my kids to stay out of the open door that is ajoined to the ice cream place. They were just peeking as they were curious what was in there. She then actually shushed my daughter who is 4 and was excited and overwhelmed with all the ice cream flavours. She then snatched the money out of our hands and couldn 't smile to save her life. I get kid 's can be loud and annoying but when applying for such a position you must know you will be dealing with little ones. Customer Service is key and over at Midtown Apothecary the owner is super friendly and patient with my kid 's as they decide. That goes a long way. Will try again and hopefully she cheers up. Maybe close the door to the hair salon next door which was closed and youwon 't have little curious kids peeking.
Small little ice cream parlor with big flavors. Everything I am in St. Albert, I always stop by this place to get some ice cream or gelato. Overall, no complaints.
They have a good selection of ice cream and gelato but they do not keep good hours. It is a **** shoot to go there. Maybe they will be open and maybe they won't. No great for business. Seems more like a hobby than a business. I get as a small business owner if it is raining etc to want to close earlier but that really makes customers unhappy.
Lovely little place with gelato, sorbet, and ice cream. The staff was super friendly and willingly offered samples. I picked up a medium (4 oz lemon sorbet for $4.95 tax. The sorbet was good though the texture could be improved. Overall, quite enjoyable for someone who is trying to avoid dairy. I do find the pricing a bit too high for my tastes so this will stay in the realm of a rare treat. I will be back to try their soft serve, which is also dairy free and only costs $2.95. I am looking forward to that. :
