Bidrage med feedbackI come here frequently for family gatherings or a quick bowl of Ramen. The service is fast and the prices are reasonable. The portions are a bit small and the presentation is not as fancy as some other places, but if you're looking for fresh and affordable Japanese food, this is a great option. I enjoy it and I return often, and I would recommend it to others. Don't come for the atmosphere, come for the food and the cotton candy dessert.
We randomly decided to give this place a try as we were walking by and we were not disappointed at all. The food had an authentic Japanese taste and we were able to enjoy it at a lunch special price of $10 per meal. The portions were also generous. We will definitely be returning to try out some of the other menu options.
Sento Kitchen is the real deal. As someone who lived in Japan for many years in the 1990s, I felt very at home in Sento. Everything we ordered was excellent, with the food tasting very authentic and home-cooked. I appreciated the prompt and friendly service, as well as the reasonable prices. The lunchtime set menus are fantastic value, and everything I have tried has been very good. The chirashi-don was a standout dish, with the hotate, maguro, and unagi being especially delicious!
Walked in, first time dine in- Boxes and random stuff stacked everywhere- I felt like I was about to eat in a garage sale. Proceeded to order a lot of items off the menu, agedashi, edamame, tempura prawns and eggplant, etc etc... among them, I had tentatively flagged the tonkatsu ramen.. the staff had no idea what tonkatsu was- I explained the pork. I have ordered this from Uber eats before but wasn’t sure if it was from Sento- I only remember being sorely disappointed by the powdered stock and msg flavour. I politely asked if I could simply have a little spoon full of the broth- if it was the one I remembered I was happy to swap and order other items. I didn’t even mention my concerns and was intentionally polite in asking. I was rudely told no.. I explain not the whole dish, just a small spoon of the broth. Again I was rudely refused. I would start by saying start by hiring staff that actually know your menu, and then lead on to say if you can’t make a food product well in this day and age, particularly when it’s a staple of your chosen genre, then simply just don’t make it. No shame or foul, just skip it. Focus on other dishes and do them well. Rude, clueless staff and avoid the ramen at all costs..
Very good sushi and bento box’s ...also excellent tempura prawns and vegetables ...efficient home delivery too
