Moby Dick House Of Kabob - Springfield

Honest Review: This was the worst food I've ever had. The falafel was tough and inedible, the only decent part was the rice but even that was mediocre. The hummus was spoiled and the bread was barely edible. I feel sick after consuming this meal and I'm worried about getting food poisoning. It was a pathetic experience, especially considering they skimped on the toppings and only provided falafel and rice.

I have been a loyal customer of Moby Dick's for nearly 20 years, ever since my college days. I have always enjoyed their food and dined at various locations over the years. However, during my most recent visit on 7/24, I was extremely disappointed. The quality of the meat was poor, the falafel was oddly shaped, the bread was flat, and the yogurt sauce was watery. It seemed as though the bread and falafel were store-bought, as another patron had pointed out. Additionally, despite always including rice in their combos, our order did not come with any rice, despite choosing bread. This experience was a stark contrast to my previous visits, where the food was consistently good. Unfortunately, I do not plan on returning to Moby Dick's anytime soon after this disappointing experience.

I dined at this restaurant on July 29, 2022. The dining room was dirty and the staff seemed unprofessional. There was a strong smell of sewage. The cheapest meal was $15. The food was not fresh, with only the rice being okay. The bread was chewy and stale, not at all like fresh bread straight out of the oven. The kabob was bland and tasteless. Two sauces were acceptable. Overall, it was not worth it.

Chicken breast kabob was good. Spicy ground chicken kabob was delicious too! The bread that comes with humus was NOT so good. It was not freshly made, which I preferred.

What happened?! I used to love the food at this location, but now it is sub-par. The biggest disappointment is the change in the pita. Is it no longer made in-house? Tastes like a really bad grocery store approximation of a pita. The beef wasunderseasoned and bland today (it used to taste authentic), and the sauces and dips are now prepackaged and not as fresh.
