Denny's - Springfield

One of the best things I like about Denny's is they're one of the only chain, and for that matter, most restaurants, that accurately know how to properly cook eggs and I wasn't disappointed this time. I ordered their “Build your own Slam”, which consisted of sausage, biscuit with a side of country gravy and two eggs, over medium, which were perfectly cooked. The egg whites were set firm (not crispy), with runny yolks. And, of course, coffee. Yum, yum!

Did a pickup order for a bacon and cheese omelette and some red skinned potatoes. Ended up having to mutilate my omelette with my hands to get all the ham that I didn’t ask for, out of my omelette. On top of that the red skinned potatoes are dry and flavourless, as well as the hash browns are soaked in frying oils. I asked for English muffins for my toast and they ended up with burnt white bread. Overall dissatisfied with this location.

WIDE VARIETY of choices. We got hooked on the Senior Chicken Bourbon Skillet. Their Banana Split is fabulous.

This would be a great place, but the booths are still in covid jail cell mode, and the homeless are a big problem. They smell and when passing tables to restroom, they ruin the experience. But until we replace 40 yrs. of failed democrats leadership, this will be the result. I'd like to go back, but the homeless make it unlikely.
