HESITATE THE BAKERS OVEN CREAMERY. Tonya and her staff were OUTSTANDING! It is very appealing, professional and personal. I was planning this out of the state, but I wasn't as challenging as I thought. She showed up in the airbnb in advance and was ready when we came back from the graduation ceremony. I've never had southern cooks before and when I asked them to come a menu for my event, the results were absolutely amazing and delicious. I'm a little surprised that I trusted her with the menu, but that's how comfortable she made me feel. She came with such a funny, respectful and attentive staff. Wouldn't have asked better crew to take care of my guests. Do not forget to include your homemade ice cream on your menu. Next time I book an event in San Diego, I will definitely call you again. Thank you for making it so special.

Tonya has incredible food and incredible service. We had a lunch in the south for my conclusion with catfish, green collar, peach-catcher, mimosa bar... every single item was absolutely delicious. I would recommend Tonya for any event!

Let me first say that it was hard to find a Catererer in San Diego. There were some who said they would be the event then weeks later they would tell me they were booked. Others would not send a quote if I spoke to them, and finally there were some of those apartment that never called me back. Tonya was very professional and appealing from the beginning. She also worked with me to plan a unique combination of ducks that met all the nutritional requirements. I like her coming out a week before an inspection on site, meeting us and picking up the layman of the country. When the day came, she showed up 2 hours before the guest (as promised) and had everything she needed. Sh was ready in time to serve the meal. We had her team at the buffet. The service went well, Tonya called the tables to join. The line moved smoothly. Tonya kept close contact with me throughout the event to make sure everything remained on schedule. During the event and while there was time in the kitchen (after dinner was served), she managed to get out on the dance floor for a song or two. This added a warming factor that made her and her team part of the event. After the event was over Tonya and her team had cleaned up all the garbage, we couldn't even say they were there. They also left the kitchen clean. She combed all the remains and put them in the refrigerator. An additional bonus was that she cut and served the birthday cake I prepared for our guest. She also served the champagne and the sparkling apples for the toast. I only have two points for constructive criticism. 1) It would be great if Tonya found another payment method that does not charge a 4% client processing fee like PayPal. I hated paying for it. 2) As a customer you should make sure and let them know in advance if you want reduced salt or sugar in one of the food items. I thought the chicken was a tad on the salty side, but I am the kind of person who never add salt to a meal after it is cooked. I'm sure Tonya would accept such a request. I should have thought about it in advance so I can't tremble it. Our event was dinner at the Backyard Birthday in a residence. It was a buffet style dinner with service for 60 people. I would definitely recommend Tonya and use it again.

The food is delicious! The desserts are scrumptious! The owner is very friendly and you can taste the love she has in her dishes. There’s a variety of items on the menu and you won’t be disappointed with whatever you decide to eat.
