We are at a loss to understand why this beautiful venue does not try to get their menu right. Is it management, owners we don't know. A group of 3 mothers, my husband and 2 children attended for breakfast on Mother's day. We thought they would cater for Mother's day but we were incorrect. Firstly we were asked what we wanted to order, without having seen a menu. Then when we did see the menu, only 4 items available. We nearly walked out then, as the table next to us did. My husband ordered a bottle of bubbly, and the waiter arrived with 2 open bottles, and poured 3 glasses. Then I asked for milk drink for the children, only to be told No, we don't really cater for that. Then we ordered. 3 of us ordered poached eggs with bacon on the side. I don't think half a slice of bacon should be a $5.00 extra charge. Eggs were cool. The croque madame, was a disappointment to say the least. Don't chef's know how to dress a plate these days. For a venue that should be a bright light on the Bellarine, this was a dull day to say the least. Pick up your game.
Duck - What can I say I love duck when its done well and this place served the 3rd best duckling that I've ever eaten in my life!..... and I've knocked off a few Daffys in my time. Served with a triple carrot puree. yumSorry folks I was so impressed I ordered another course of it. I didn't have anything else only the Zinfandel to wash it down!O'h my wife loved her beef as well. Will be back
Only went there for a wine and coffee in the afternoon, will definitely return there for a meal. Very nice!!! Friendly Staff!!!
Terindah Estate is a small family operated winery and restaurant at the end of a rustic lane on the Bellarine Peninsula. Arriving on a warm January day we were really pleased to be able to have our request to be seated outside the main dining room so we could lap up the beautiful views across vineyards to the sea.The focus is on seasonal local / regional produce and the menu offers 4 entrees and 5 mains and caters for gluten intolerant and somewhat for vegetarian options. We really enjoyed the Kingfish entrée with avocado, daikon, shiso, and were pleased with our choice of a duck and a snapper main accompanied by excellent and more-ish goose fat potatoes. There is a good selection of wines by the glass and the 2014 Terindah Estate Pinot Gris was a great match for the kingfish and the 2013 Terindah Estate Pinot Noir with the duck. Prices for food and wine are mid-range but the quality, service and setting make it good value. Will be back
