El Gaucho Winery - Spicewood

Great food, great wine and great staff. My wife and I have been coming here for years for it's Zen-like ambiance. The wine is among the best in Austin and an amazingly friendly staff all contribute to its chill atmosphere. The food is awesome andexpertly prepared. Bursting with traditional flavors with a modern touch, it's an experience you won't get elsewhere. Kudos tothe very talented chief for serving up a 5-star meal each and every time. Cheers to the owner and staff who work very hard toprovide a wonderful and unique experience.

What an amazing experience at this little winery gem. If you are, at first glance, at all discouraged by the prices do not be! We enjoyed a delicious group lunch all entrees ordered were easily shareable. The portions are so generous and the food issuch high quality it is worth the price. I also loved that buying by the bottle is the same as retail a great way to shareand experience for the same price as a few glasses elsewhere. The property is gorgeous with some amazing hill country views. Andlastly, the service was spectacular. They were well understaffed post Covid and made their best efforts to make it clear. Butthe people who do work there, work so hard. The food runner was polite, efficient and so dedicated. We were so happy with ourservice (especially speed of). Would definitely recommend to anyone. We?ll be back!

We just had a terrible experience at a so-called "Argentinian" restaurant in East Downtown Austin. However, we found this place, and it’s amazing! The food is exceptionally well-prepared and genuinely Argentinian, while the wine is fantastic! The prices are reasonable too—everything is just excellent!

We recently held a corporate event at El Gaucho Winery, and it was an amazing culinary experience! The service and quality of the food were outstanding. We decided to try something different with the Argentinian BBQ, and it truly felt authentic—just like being in Argentina. If you're looking for a unique dining experience, I highly recommend this venue for your next corporate event. The wines were excellent as well! Adrian, Mirta, Bennett, and their entire team will ensure that your experience is one-of-a-kind.

I had an amazing experience overall. The wine selection is excellent, the atmosphere is beautiful and tranquil, and the food is absolutely divine—from the empanadas to the grilled vegetables and the perfectly cooked steaks. Without a doubt, this is the best Argentinian restaurant we've visited in the United States. I can’t recommend it highly enough!
