Bidrage med feedbackThe service was slow and has forgotten a lot. my beer had to order three times to get it eating on the other side was good and on point. Hopefully it'll be better next time.
We were in the domhof before summer, but in this januar my son and I had to fill out two evenings. we found a cozy table and had two pleasant evenings, served by charming employees. it was busy but fun. eating is also really good. and the beer was very pale. although speyers hauptattraktion (the cathedrale) was so close, the prices were not a torn. a visit worth.
In the middle of the evening in the adjacent hotel. decided to eat in the domhof as it was close. a Bavarian buffet was served and so the restaurant was busy with local and tourist. traditional live-German music was played that was too. the atmosphere that was strangely live for a Tuesday night. we ate from the main menu and the steaks were very good. a few local beers went well down. service was excellent and the staff very friendly. beautiful evening.
Friendly staff, fast service, very good food. Not many German restaurants serve duck. This does, and the duck is crispy and delicious.
This is the best typical' German food I've had in the past 5 months living here. The friendly and helpful waiter recommended the items from the Oktoberfest menu as that was their specials. I started with a salad that was great. Properly dressed, excellent dressing...that wasn't watery and the small beans a nice addition. My wife's pumpkin soup with toasted pumpkin seeds was great too. My main I got the Farmers plate that had 1/4 duck, slice of roasted pork and pork knuckle. The duck had crispy, slightly salty (that's good) skin and the meat was moist! The pork knuckle was so tender and not cooked. I now know why this is always on menus here. Again, when done correctly, great. The pork roast very good. I thought I would need more gravy but the moist duck and pork knuckle didn't need it. My wife got the Münchener Pork Roast. That too was delicious. The sides of potato dumplings and red cabbage were enormous and served family style. Potato dumplings light and airy really good. Slightly under seasoned but with the slightly salty gravy perfect. Red cabbage really sweet and sour. Only criticism is the tomato and cumber on the salad need salt, and no salt or pepper on the table. I would also asked for only 1/2 of the sides. I hate to waste food and it was too much. They also have their own beers and a good selection of local wines. We came on a Sunday night at 6 and the place was already busy. Good amount of locals. Last plus, the atmosphere is great. Exposed wood beam walls, hops strung around the ceiling, really nice.
