Bidrage med feedbackThe setting was superb (inside and on the terrace, with a superb view and a fantastic weather). The staff were very helpful, especially Cédric who does a fantastic job in terms of quality and quantity while offering his communicative good humour in several languages. The Chef, on the other hand, must have been having a bad day : burnt croutons, overcooked and under-seasoned pasta, and a general lack of authenticity in the cuisine. A real pity because everything was in place for a fantastic moment. Cédric saved the evening ...
The food was great, the prices amazing but the staff is the best. The male and female waiters were attentive and accommodating. The chef is vibrant, exciting and you want him to succeed. The manzo, beef, was tender and tasty and perfectly cooked. The veal cheek was tender and the right sized portion with a potato puree underneath. The pasta with cinghiale was tender and not overdressed. You could taste the pork and the pasta was perfectly cooked. The view is breathtaking and the low music made for a wonderful evening. We are planning to return in a couple of days. You need to come here. You will love it for what Italy and Umbria have to offer. You want to be a part of this vibrancy. The chef is Napolitano with a big heart and a great mind for cooking. If you miss this place when you are here you will regret it. I promise.
All of the seven persons in our group ordered main dishes and received a portion that would barely feed a child. The food itself was good, but not good enough to look at the food as an ‘experience’ and not merely sustenance. Yea the view was good too..
Great view with ok food. Dinner on the terrace with view of mountains backed by setting sun. Food was sadly underwhelming. Bean salad was undressed, under seasoned and under whelming. One steak was tender, one tough both cold by the time they arrived. Service is friendly but slow. Montefalco rose and red wine both very good. Fresh homemade biscotti were delicious.
Excellent view overlooking the plains of Spello good friendly service very simple setting but exactly what was needed menu choicies on the small side for the lunch menu but we had the aubergine to share as a starter which was exceptional and our main courses were just as good very good wine selection will be back
