El Kamino Bay - Spanish Fort

Ruth was our server. She was very nice. And the food was delicious.

I came here to have a nice date with my boyfriend after work. It was empty, only one other large family was there. It took 5 minutes for anyone to come up to the host stand and seat us. When he finally did come up to us, we asked if we could sit outside (bc we came for the view). He huffed loudly and rolled his eyes and led us outside. He didn’t seat us, he gave the menus and silverware to my boyfriend and walked off. We left immediately after that. Won’t be returning. Terrible Service.

Had a great first time here. I’m not sure what some of these “meh” reviews were about- that was not our experience at all. Our waitress was super sweet and attentive and the food was delicious. We look forward to going back at sunset to take advantage of the awesome views.The beef birria quesadillas were really good and the carne asada was the best we have had at a restaurant in the area. It was well marinated and tender. Would happily drive from Fairhope again to go here because it is 10x better food and atmosphere than others locally…

Y'all I can't tell you enough how disappointed my husband and I were! We thought we had found a diamond the rough. We were on our way home from Gulf Shores and just wanted to get a good bite to eat. We pulled up to a crowed parking lot. Escalades, Jeeps, ya know. Walking up the stairs I noticed the building has needed some maintenance but being my optimistic self I said well maybe it's the hole in the wall place that is going to keep us coming back for years. Sadly it is not!!!! We both ordered Barilla- hubs got the quesadilla and I got the tacos. The only thing that had any flavor was the onions and cilantro. The barilla was soooo bland. Tasted like a pot roast cooked in water. We salted the chips y'all. The margaritas tasted like Kool aid. Our waiter was stoned and came to ask our order 3 times. I kid y'all not.

If you are looking for a modern atmosphere with strictly traditional Mexican cuisine then this restaurant may not be for you. This restaurant embraces the relaxed Gulf Coast feel with a menu that is a fusion of Mexican and Southern Alabama flavors. No complaints.
