Salt Quay - Southwark

The view of the themes is the point of sale of the place. The eating is good, but in portions for some of the main dishes such as the chicken I ordered was quite average. It would recommend this place more for the summer, with a pint and a prospect.

And off I have visited this place for years and they never seem to get it right. about two years ago they had a sharpener, led by an older guy who was great and knew exactly how to run the eating side of the dinge in a pub. you knew what you got and you could go anytime until you have a great roast. but when the place was renovated, the carvery went like this chef. since the renovation I tried to eat it once and it was okay. When they made the roasts again, I thought I'd go this pub another one. I went back a few months and the roast was good, although the Veg sections were small. I went back last week with the family, and that was great. I finally thought the pub would have the roast right. it took a week! I went back to first I booked online today and when I arrived, I was told that a table was not reserved. Why do they have an online booking system when this happens? we sat anyway and gave the menu with the roast menu above. in no case was told to us that the roasts had run out of the dame that sat us. I then went to order and was told that the roasted had run out. totally and absolutely ridiculous. if reddening is going to run out, then this should be clearly stated somewhere and I wouldn't waste my time. we had a fry last week, why did it change this week? the pub was more busy than last week and obviously this had an effect. I'm sorry, but this is not an apology and bad administration both from pub and chefs. if they say that eating is served up to a certain time, then all foods should be available up to this time. I had planned to eat here with other family members who had traveled quite far to be disappointed. to the happiness they had other plans. great location and a great looking pub, but from what reason the food is never consistent and can not be left. the last time I visited this place. I'd rather pay twice as much money and at least know what I get.

Lovely pub, unexpected find. Staff are very welcoming and go above to help. Made an effort to engage in conversation, with both adult customers and children

We had our mums celebration of life here in the main bar area and from start to finish the staff was brilliant they could not have done anymore to make the day any easier for us as a family. We pre order food and tea/coffee package which was lovely and many of our friends and family comment how lovely it all was. so i would jus like to thank Shannon and Charlie and the staff a big thank you and will be back again for a drink and food Dave Jenning and Family

I came here on a summers afternoon and had a really great time! The beer garden over looking the river is fantastic and the whole place had a really good atmosphere. The staff are very friendly as well and were doing a great job despite how busy it was . This is the perfect place to come with a group of friends for a drink and some good pub grub. I’ll definitely be coming back!
