Wayside Market - Southold

If you're in Southold, this is the place to visit! They offer fantastic food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with an impressive selection of meats. We make it a point to stop by for breakfast whenever we can. The staff is incredibly friendly, too!

I decided to get a hand-cut New York Strip from Wayside for comparison. This was PRIME meat, completely in a different league. I grilled both the Wayside steak and the COSTCO steaks for my friends. We tried them side by side, and I shared samples of the Wayside steak, which was an absolutely mind-blowing experience. It was one of the best steaks I've ever had, rivaling renowned places like Peter Luger, Bern's Steakhouse, Delmonico's, Capital Grille, and Ottomanelli's, just to name a few. The customer service was top-notch—friendly and attentive. The quality of the meat here cannot be matched by any chain grocery store or big-box retailer. Is it expensive? That depends on how you look at it; you truly get what you pay for. For many of us, this isn't a place we'd visit every day (though I wish it could be), but if you're looking to treat yourself or impress friends, this is the spot. Talk to Peter and take his advice. I don’t live in the area, but I'm seriously considering how I can get them to deliver steaks to me!

I think side market is great the food is good the service good and it should more like it on the island the owner is a big guy also lol

My wife and I had Isabella and the Wayside team prepare wraps and salads for our bridal suite on our wedding day. We were extremely pleased with the results—the food was delicious, and the service was exceptional. We've also visited on several occasions for lunch, and they serve the best sandwiches! We highly recommend Wayside for your catering needs.

This is my favorite deli! I love the staff and the owner, PT. Great food and service. It’s clean and very friendly. They have a new gourmet section that offers lots of unique foods. I highly recommend Wayside.
