Percy's Cafe - Southend-on-Sea

Been driving past for 3 years and stopped to get a roll a few weeks ago. Been going back since. Today had a breakfast, delicious! Please try!

The blonde lady serving the food was so miserable maybe it was because she didn’t get any flowers on Valentine’s Day shame because the cheese on beans on toast was nice she even had a go at us looking at a newspaper and she said it was hers. Really nice old cafe just a shame that you’ve got somebody like that with a miserable attitude working at the front

Percy's offers an excellent range of homecooked foods (the homemade pies are a delight). Excellent and huge Percy's Big Breakfast.

We came here for breakfast while 2 of my childen were at music lessons, there was me my partner my 8yr old, 3yrold and baby. Anyone wbo knows my 3yr old knows he suffers with morning sickness but hed slept the whole time just before pulling up so thought we was all good. we went in i sat with 3yr old and baby while partner and 8yr old went to order. Out of the blue my 3yr old gagged and was a lil bit sick mum instinct grabbed him got him outside qnd took him to side of door where he was a bit more sick. 8yr old clocked what what was going on got tissue to clean the small bit inside. We then came ij and had our breakfast no problems, cant fault the food,but had noticed when we arrive the lady serving seemed to have the right hump (partner had said shes always the same). near the end of eating the woman very rudely said i should of took my kid in the road to be sick (the road is very busy i wouldnt want to go into myself to be sick) i dont know if she is thos unfriendly to all or weather she just dont like kids. very unwelcoming and will not be going back again. As someone who works in hospitality and food i know you do not treat customers in such manner

I have been visiting Percy's for over 30 years. The current owners have kept up the tradition of serving perfectly cooked full English breakfasts for around £7. The café is impeccably clean, nicely decorated, and the staff always give a friendly welcome. They offer a good variety of dishes, but I always stick with the breakfast because of its excellent quality ingredients, perfectly cooked and piping hot. Congratulations to all the staff, and I hope they continue to provide my favorite guilty pleasure for years to come.
