Mr Ming - Southend-on-Sea

We’ve been going here for many years at least twice a month. We were recommended many a friend . We have tried other restaurants for family meals etc but nothing matches up. You can see the food being cooked, they are happy to change things up for you, always friendly and can’t say we have ever needed to complain about anything, fresh, hot , delicious food, very reasonably priced. . What more do You need to know?

Your chow mien tasted like a 1000 dead quims dragged up out the mud on the seafront... Never again ! food was cooked in 2 minutes !

Please believe I moved from Southend to Bristol.Been here for over 10 years now have tried lots of Chinese takeaways.Not one off them here comes any where near mr Ming as ate there for 30 years before moving to big city that can’t cook for love nor money.Best Kung po chicken ever and curry’s fantastic and very reasonable compared to here.They want like £10 a curry and taste more like stew.

I was surprised by the amount of choice that was available and the amount of times the food was refreshed, didn't have a drink as the bar was either full of people or not manned.

Collected prawn toast, peking ribs, wonton soup, Hong Kong sweet and sour chicken, beef in black bean sauce, vegetables in garlic sauce, egg fried rice, chips and satay sauce. I cannot fault any of the food. Every single dish was excellent. Beautifully cooked and seasoned in a timely manner and the prices were very reasonable. The prawn toast and the peking ribs in particular were exceptional. By far the best I have had from a Chinese takeaway (including Southend and Chinatown, London). The gentleman who took my order and the lady who bagged up my order were very friendly. Will definitely order again soon!
