Red Hook Cajun Seafood (jackson)

Great venue with outdoor seating, perfect for a summer afternoon. We ordered crab cakes, fried calamari and alligator bites. The crab cakes and calamari were really good, the alligator bites were a bit tough and chewy. Service was ok, staff didn't seem happy to be working there and weren't overly friendly. It was an average experience which is disappointing as we were really looking forward to the Red Hook experience.

The food was good but, the waitress was extremely slow even with the refills everyone had empty glasses and I had to ask for refills . We waited about 12 minutes for plastic forks to eat our appetizers and the there were only 3 tables and that included us. OMG

We've been here several times and will continue to keep coming back. The food is good, and the servers have been fine. The decor is good. They have outdoor seating if you want to go out to eat but still want to stay safe. We've eaten both inside and outside, and prefer eating inside simply due to the wind.

Food was good, my wife and Daughter really enjoyed their's, I just prefer my shrimp to be cold, and not hot. Will go back, our waitress was nice and we got our food quickly. This was our first trip to Red Hook. Will try something else on the next trip there.

Sarah and I went for a day out and I have been looking forward to trying the Red Hook for some time now. I am from St. Pete Florida and it has a lot of the seafood I miss, seafood is the only meat I eat. I wanted to order the softshell crab po boy and that I did. I enjoy it very much and Sarah had the fried fish basket with cajun French fries. I'm certain I will be back to try some other goodies on the menu, we also enjoyed the music variety.
