Bidrage med feedbackI'm going to be fair here say it's nice, it just needs a bit of refining around the edges. My room wasn't ready when I arrived it took 45 minutes to sort this out, but in fairness, I got a drink on the house for the trouble. When I got into my room the lamp didn't work, there was no wardrobe to hang my clothes no channel 1 or 2 on the TV. Credit where credits due though my evening meal was incredibly tasty the staff are really nice. See you again soon
Working away, at the shopping Center the Marlands. I booked the captains place for 2 nights.. Reception staff were very polite and helpful on my initial entrance. He shown me to the room.. What a stunning freshly painted room i walked into, big double bed to myself which is very comfy may i add.. Plenty of tea and coffee, and also fresh water bottles.. The restaurant and food was amazing too TM Fire And Security Services highly recommends this place
We stumbled upon this place by accident. We were looking for somewhere to seat 6 of us for early dinner and this restaurant/hotel was perfect. The venue is in two halves, one half is a comfy bar area with plush leather sofas, with the other side being a spacious restaurant. We opted for the Sunday set menu, with 2 courses priced at £12.95 and 3 courses for £14.95. There was a good varied selection of meals to chose from and all bar one we chose the Rump Steak and one guest chose the Swordfish. The steak was perfect and we all really enjoyed the food. Our guest loved the Swordfish and I will try this next time. For dessert again, profiteroles were favourite and were gorgeous smothered in melted chocolate. One of our party chose the panacotta and thought it was delicious. So for two courses for six people plus drinks, the bill came to £88, which we felt was excellent value. My nephew and his friend as both freshers as Southampton Solent, and their halls are just around the corner from this venue. Great place for families to meet as we did, when visiting anyone studying here. Another bonus are the beautiful rooms upstairs, my favourite is the Queen Mary, whilst my niece loves the Titanic Suit. We will definitely be staying and eating here again!
It was discovered that this restaurant has closed down, but they were still accepting payments and sending emails welcoming guests to stay, without informing them of the closure. The restaurant has now reopened as The Flying Dutchman, claiming to be under new management and unable to honor previous bookings. Despite notification to trading standards, rooms under this hotel name are still being advertised on websites like Late Rooms. It is advised to avoid this establishment.
Hotel management isn 't familiar with its own terms and conditions and tried to charge my credit card in advance without admission. Luckily my bank did not accept this fraud. I cancelled my booking. Also hotels changes its name AnticoBoutique Hotel every year. Not trustworthy at all. Avoid!
