Having ordered my steak medium rare (as recommended) it came solid and looking well cooked! I cut into a solid block of meat to find it grey throughout- well done! The waiter apologised and took it away. I then had to wait a further for a replacement, by which time my family had pretty much finished their meal, great! I I sat there ready to dine by myself, however, there was a further complication- the steak that had been presented looked more like a thin rump thick) than any New York strip I’ve had previously, including the one that was over cooked! I delved in and found nothing but gristle and gnarley fat and an undercooked steak (blue to rare). I had a few pieces from the middle but had to give up. It was the worst, poorest quality steak I’ve ever had. The waiter again apologised and took it away. The manager then appeared, apologised and deducted the steak and my first pint off the bill. I went home having consumed a starter and one bite of an awful steak. Absolutely gutted!
Went yesterday for a lunchtime meal. Service was excellent. However, portion sizes and overall satisfaction of starters and puddings weren’t great. Struggled to find the prawns and crayfish, amongst the heaps of lettuce and greens. Panna Cotta wasn’t even set and was like a...yoghurt consistency, which spoilt the meal. Not great value for money when you are charging this much to have a starter with three pieces of fish and a pudding that was like slop!! However, Steaks were excellent!!!
I recently visited this restaurant in Wolverhampton for the first time. It was nice, clean, and the staff were friendly. The atmosphere reminded me of a typical Miller and Carter restaurant. However, the condition of the toilets was disappointing and in need of improvement.
Fantastic Valentines meal with outstanding service from Michelle! The restaurant was extremely busy, yet we still looked after exceptionally well. visit newbies to steak… never realised there was so much knowledge to learn from the different cuts of beef, went with Michelle’s recommendation...of fillet for my wife ribeye for me, amazing! Already booked our next visit!!
