Bidrage med feedbackI have visited this takeout place several times in the past and now they have a great app for ordering and collecting food. On New Year's Eve at 8:09 am, before I went to work, I placed my usual order for collection at 18:40. However, when I arrived, the staff member couldn't find my order among the tickets. Even though I had confirmation on my tablet, he bluntly said "no order". As a result, my entire family ended up having toast for dinner because other restaurants were also busy. I will not be using this place again.
Lovely place, Great staff, the environment was really nice and the staff were all welcoming, would recommend going
This is the second time I have used the Lalvina for a takeaway in the last few months and this time they supplied a really nice meal for two again. We ordered via Just Eat a Chicken Tikka Balti Roshan with Egg fried rice, a cauliflower baji side dish, and a plain Naan bread. Total cost was just over £15 but we did have to wait more than the stated 1hour before their friendly delivery driver arrived. The size of the single portion supplied was completely ample for the two of us so that was fine. The taste of the curry was perhaps not quite as strong as I'd hoped for or used to from other local fayres; but was nonetheless very enjoyable. We can certainly put the Lalvina on the list of recommended Indian takeaways because their menu is quite extensive and so should therefore cater for many discerning tastes as well as ours. Thank you Lalvina
Hadn’t been for years as it was not the best in the area. Couple of months ago gave it another try after a family recommended and what a fantastic surprise. The food was all cooked fresh and the taste was delicious and all for the very reasonable prices. If it’s not on the menu they are happy to adjust to your needed. I go at least once a week now for a Chicken Puri delicious.
We decided to revisit an Indian takeout restaurant that we had last tried about 10 years ago for a change of pace. Our favorite dish back then was the Chicken Tikka Balti Roshan with Pillau rice, cauliflower baji, a plain Naan, and 2 pappadoms. We ordered the same meal again, not only to compare it to our previous experience but also to see how it stacked up against other local options. The curry itself was quite tasty, but we found the pillau rice a bit bland. The cauliflower baji was delicious, as were the Naan and pappadoms. The chicken tikka pieces could have been cut in half for easier eating, but overall the portions were very generous and could have easily fed two people twice over. The meal cost £21.00 and was delivered through the Just Eat app. Compared to other similar takeouts in the area, we would definitely order from Lalvina again as they delivered to our home within the hour as promised. The meal was good value for money and while it was on par with many other options, it did not surpass the best we have tried in the area.
