Bejing - South Ribble

Food and service was outstanding. We had one of the banquets and it had good portions and every dish was great. A lucky find…. We randonly visited this restaurant when we wanted a Chinese meal and decided to try Leyland instead of Preston. We will be back soon.

What has happened to the food at this restaurant? We have been several times before and the food had been tasty. Not the case any more! The lovely beef ribs are now horrible fatty tasteless pork ribs, there was no spring rolls or prawn toast but tasteless potato croquette and slimy dumplings. The crispy duck was so dry it nearly chipped my teeth, the steak sizzling platter was rubbery and the sizzling sauce was placed right close to us and the boiling hot sauce burnt my hand! The female owner, who brings the food out is so rude. She forgot our plates and cutlery and if you ask her for anything she acts like she is doing you a huge favour and practically throws it on the table! The prices have increased but the food quality has deteriorated. I will not be going back!

I am gluten free and my partner is vegetarian so I was skeptical when he suggested we come here as I don’t often find Chinese food that I can eat, but our waiter, I think his name was Jack, was completely clued up about my allergy and was amazing at talking us through my options. The rosé wine I had was lovely, the food was delicious, and service was good; all in all a wonderful experience and we will be returning as often as possible.

Myself and the family popped into The Beijing in Leyland for some dinner over the weekend. We didn 't book, and we just called-in, on the off-chance they had a table available for some early dinner. Right from the start, we were greeted by friendly staff, and it was no problem at all that we hadn 't booked a table that evening. The restaurant is run-by, and owned by a lovely couple who were genuinely welcoming and sincerely friendly when we arrived. The restaurant is absolutely IMMACULATE, clean, tidy and finished to a very high standard with lovely chairs and attractive table settings. NOTHING was too much trouble for the staff there, and they literally bent-over-backwards to accommodate my family and to make us feel so, so welcome! And the food? Absolutely lovely! The food was fresh and tasty, with great portions. We all felt like we had eaten something really 'special ' that evening, with absolutely superb service to compliment the gorgeous food. And we 're so looking forward to going back again very soon!

Last visit here was over ten years ago! What a little gem this restaurant is . My daughter took me for a treat and what a treat it was . We had a set banquet for two . The food was delicious the service was fantastic. We found the customer service here had been the best we have had for the last year. Will highly recommend.
