Calabash Cigar Cafe - South Portland

For a cigar shop tucked away in a tiny corner of a large strip mall this place has a lot of character. Staff and patrons have clearly known each other for a very long time and their affection and camaraderie for one another is quite apparent making for a nice at-home type of ambience. Cigar selection is surprisingly extensive and the humidor is well kept. Prices can be a bit on the high side but overall the selection is of good quality and spending on the cigars is regret-free. Staff for knowledgeable about the particulars of their cigars and able to make recommendations by working with the customer. There is a full bar and menu offered although I didn't partake of the kitchen. Thankfully, given the cold weather in Portland, Maine, there is an indoor smoking lounge that is somewhat sparse but comfortable enough. Overall, a nice place to have a cigar with a beer and possibly some food at your leisure.

Always friendly staff, after a few visits they start to remember you by name, knowledgeable about your preferred flavors. Great selections of beer, some lighter food options, an extensive collection of cigars, memorabilia, accessories, ashtrays and humidors. Always a fantastic environment and good times. I would highly recommend 10/10 if you're looking to make friends or even for a memorable visit to sit down and enjoy your favorite cigar/ cigars. So stop by, bring your loved one, or yourself because all are welcome here.

Nice place to grab a smoke and then head over to the airport. Owner is a good, easy-going guy.
