Shiro Restaurant - South Pasadena

As usual , our Shiro experience was a real pleasure: great food, service and ambiance. Our group of seven felt well taken care of and enjoyed a relaxed evening discussing our latest book club book.

This restaurant is super dated, both in ambiance and food. Everything felt very 1980’s…

The food , service, and ambiance were excellent. We especially appreciate the hostess and waitress for remembering we were there for a birthday celebration and for their extra care in helping with the celebration. We love the seabass!

Great service. Most of the foods that ate were great. The Salmon tartare tacos are just amazing! The soft shell crab was a little bit of a letdown for my taste. It could be great for someone else.It was on the special menu tonight. My biggest gripe was that we have adult male patrons coming in dressed in shorts and flip flops. I feel that basic dress code should be established. Not sure any man over 16 should go to a nicer restaurant in shorts and flip flops. Maybe if it is Apple Bees.

Shiro is our favorite restaurant in southern California We have been dining for 30 years it has never disappointed us!!
