Russo's New York Pizzeria South Padre Island

We never thought we'd land at a pizza place while we were in SPI. Of course, we were mainly looking for seafood. BUT I feel that we have been guided here after long waiting times everywhere else and this place DID NOT disappointed! The food was amazing and our waitress Ayla was also super sweet. She had a lot of knowledge about the menu and was very helpful. The food was amazing and perfectly seasoned! We also noticed that they also sell HUGE pizzas that I thought was really cool! They also had a great view of the sunset!

Came from Boston and tried 3 local places in a row, it was difficult to get it with one of the other stations BUT after a fair review, apples with apples this spot won fair and square. 3 of us checked the pizza and this location achieved a 7.2 of 10. We are very hard on pizzas, but this is the best on the island after a fair and detailed review. Sauce was great, dough / crust is not bad, cheese was good. It's a brick over night cake and staff was great. Overall they won as our final choice for the best in South Padre

The service is fast and friendly. On a Saturday evening there were few customers with many seats. The iced tea was terrible, he was very upset. The pizza is bland, this is the best way to describe it. The pizza sauce is almost unexistent, and the bit that exists is just dirty. Also the toppings are not thoroughly cooked. The sandwich was mostly bread, I regretted getting it. I don't recommend this place.

Where should I start? The wings were super delicious! They had a really good deep fried crust and the buffalo sauce was lip service. Only the five had, but when they told Jumbo, I was sceptical. Unfortunately, our hunger took our brains and we reacted lately to a picture. I wouldn't skip the wings as an app! And to complete the pizza, we got the truffles Burrata and Prosciutto. Wanted to try a signature pizza from there and not disappointed! The service was great! The server was very attentive and fast with our food!

The ambiance, the decor is top notch. The food is phenomenal, especially if you are looking for New York style pizza. They use fresh ingredients. Our server Nadia was phenomenal, professional and courteous. Even manager came over to check on us. They care for their customers. Definitely recommend everyone if you are in town.
