Gabriella's - South Padre Island

Very good Italian restaurant. We ordered pasta carbonara ?My Way?, and a chicken Parmesan sub. The pasta was not the traditional carbonara. They used bow tie pasta bacon and chicken with small Roma tomatoes cubes. I would say that I did miss to have some fresh Parmesan to top it with, but they did have the packaged kind available on the table.The sub came with fries and was also very good. Salad and bread came with the dinner. We got a table outside and enjoyed it very much. Friendly service.

Went today with my wife and kid. Wait was about 15 minutes on a Wednesday night. It was totally worth it. Kids pizza was awesome. My boy ate 3 slice. The calzone I ordered was one of the best I have ever had. It was cooked perfectly. The fries were soggy and didn't taste too great. My wife had some seafood dish that she said was the best she has had on the island so far. Service was great. Prices are a little high, but this is pretty close to fine dining standards on the island.

We had a wonderful experience. The bar staff and waitress were kind and didn't mind answering questions or making recommendations. The food was the beyond amazing. Wanted to try different things so are waitress brought us to go containers throughout so we could enjoy each course. The calzone was humongous and the lasagna is the best I've ever tasted.

Best Italian food on the island!! (That we have had)! Been here twice and were pleased both trips! The atmosphere is genuine and the service superior. The food is out of this world great! Don't forget to order dessert to finish the meal!

We had called to make reservations as we had 9 people, but this is one of the places on the island that does not take reservations. They open at 4 and are busy from that point on, which should be telling of how good their food is. We got there for dinner about 6pm and of course had a wait. They have seating upstairs with a lot of seating. The stairs are narrow and the shuffling of people up and down is a little difficult, but it is a necessary space and accommodating. There are TVs up there as well. Our wait was not too long I would say about 20 minutes or so, and there were several larger parties that also waited around the same amount of time. We decided on pizza for the night. We loved every bite! Salad and garlic bread are served before the meal with dipping sauce for the bread. We had the chocolate cake which is big enough to share with everyone! We will definitely dine here again.
