Bidrage med feedbackFabulous We came up from London to a friend's 65th Birthday with our families. As soon as I walked in, just loved the lay out and decor. Greeted by smiling friendly staff. We had the conservatory room, it was beautiful, warm and well presented. The serving staff were so polite, professional, and smiling, always a plus. This has to be the best experience so far this year for me and my family. The food was delicious, service was spot on, absolutely delightful. Well done to all . Throughly recommend and hope to visit again. Ps The ladiesToilets always a joy when kept that clean
We travel around Northants trying Sunday dinners at independent pubs and this is possibly our new top spot! What looks like a traditional pub on the outside is beautifully decorated inside. The team working there are attentive and so friendly. But the food is what impressed so much. Homemade soup followed by chicken dinner with the most incredible Yorkshire pudding. Every bite was savoured. We're already planning our next visit.
Our server was first class, very knowledgeable, attentive and efficient. There were 5 of us and were a little disappointed with the menu, the burgers only had sweet buns (Brioche) not something we like with meat, the alternative was eithe a vegan roll or gluten free, neither of which I found acceptable. In the sandwiches there was a choice of breads, white or rye bloomer. I had fish and chips with peas, beautifully cooked and piping hot, a choice of peas would have been nice. My wife had the special, seafood pasta, which she enjoyed, one of our friends had the steak and ale pie with mash, which he found full of good meat and the mash was very good, his wife had the seabass, the other special which she said was very nice too, her sister had the pulled brisket sandwich in rye bread which she said was really nice. We had to ask for sauces and mayonnaise as they weren't offered The ice cream selection and sorbets was very good. All in all a very nice meal, although for us, a limited menu.
Had Sunday lunch it was lovely, great atmosphere only 2 MINOR complaints, too much gravy and the cauliflower cheese wasn’t great. Starters and puds were very tasty, earlier entry said the menu was limited but with a small kitchen I do not want to read a list of 30 choices, menu was fine for us.
My food was amazing no faults however my husband ordered the burger and that was very dry waitresses were amazing it’s the management that need a refresher course in customer service I advised the manager that burger was dry this reply will make anyone laugh in 4 years “I’ve never had a complaint about the burger, the burger is cooked in grill then in oven on a timer” surely an experience chef would not need a timer management can’t take criticism at all was no apology nothing just us making us feel we were in the wrong for disputing a dry burger at a cost of £17 would not go back
