Stoke Holy Cross Fish N Chips

Visited last night. Large Haddock and chips and can honest say, hand on heart best ever!! No idea what oil they use to fry but it works. The batter was melt in the mouth. My only hesitation in raving about how good it is , is that as soon as everyone discovers it, it will be too busy. I don’t usually bother reviewing but this really is excellent much better than the Pottergate fish bar and No1 in Cromer . In my humble opinion. Try it!

I moved to the village in November 2022 and finally tried this restaurant in January 2023. It was absolutely amazing. Even though the portion sizes are smaller than other takeaways, the quality and taste are superb. The batter was super crisp and the fish was flaky and delicious. It was reasonably priced as well, only £7 for a medium cod and medium chips. Size isn't everything when the food is this good!

Used to be our favourite but last few visits disappointing , decided on a last chance and glad we did back to its best.

Chips were passable but had loads of small hard crispy bits.The fish was terrible all thick batter and hardly any fish inside.A complete waste of money £17 for 2 large fish and chips seemed a reasonable price if it had been good quality but definitely not for what we received.I bought this for a treat and feel we have been cheated to be fair it's a lot of money to waste I would have rather had oven chips and fish from supermarket and cooked it myself.Also it was a half hour round trip so waste of petrol as well

Excellent value for money, really tasty plaice and chips, plaice was huge, great fish and chips and you can see the owner really cares about what he serves up for his customers.
