Bidrage med feedbackWe started with the mixed platter appetizer, followed by a homemade steak and onion pie, triple cooked chips, and a meat feast pizza. All of the dishes were delicious and generously portioned. We highly recommend this restaurant. The bar area is also welcoming to dogs.
I decided to go to Queens Head for Sunday lunch at the last minute, mainly because they allow dogs. They only offer roasts on Sundays, but there was a good variety to choose from and ordering was simple. The portions were generous and the vegetables were delicious. However, the meats we tried were quite dry. When we mentioned this to the staff, they kindly removed the cost of the dessert from our bill.
I visited this restaurant again after the lockdown and had a pleasant experience. The staff were friendly, the service was good, and the prices were reasonable. I had hoped to have a Sunday lunch there, but it was fully booked, which is a good sign. I will make sure to book in advance next year. The atmosphere was very comfortable and they are also dog friendly.
Warm welcome tables spaced well apart looks clean and inviting. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Savoury pies seem to be their speciality different pies on the menu the night we were there) but a full menu is available. There is a note on the...menu saying all food is cooked to order so be patient (or something similar). About minutes after ordering the food arrived, it was all piping hot and was superbly cooked, very tasty pie and fabulous gravy. Only comment for improvement would be to use fresh mint not mint sauce in the minted peas. Will definitely return to this place when in the area.
Very cosy with a local feel too it ! We had the Sunday carvery which has a good selection of meats and veggies and a reasonable price for the portion size . Good selection of beers also . Was dog friendly also which was a...massive bonus . We will return when back in this area .
