Mission Thai - SOUTH MISSION BEACH

We couldn't resist a local Thai restaurant with a chef named Polly...I am a chef named Polly and it seemed like kismet. It was! Truly delicious authentic Thai food cooked by an absolute genius with flavour. We ate Chicken Satay with a beautifully balanced homemade sauce and an excellent fresh green papaya salad garnish on the side. We followed up with coconut rice, Angry noodles with delicious perfectly cooked prawns and a chef special of twice cooked pork belly with chilli jam... wow! Fantastic! Friendly service in this family run business, Ben is a welcoming host and the atmosphere was relaxed. Can't recommend this more highly. Great cooking Chef Polly.

Ate here on our last night in South Mission Beach. So wished we had come sooner. Amazing food cooked by Polly, the flavours, freshness and quantity are fantastic. Ben looked after us so well. We arrived and our table was ready. We ordered prawn spring rolls as an entree, delicious. He had chilli pork belly, yum, and I had a noodle dish with chilli, garlic, ginger and chicken, more yum. The meal was so good we ordered a takeaway to bring on the road with us. It is totally BYO, no corkage charge. You do go to the counter to order, however the food is served to your table. The tables are mainly outside on the main Mission Beach road, however, you are surrounded by lush rainforest. A lovely couple who just want to share their love of amazing Thai, and some Malaysian dishes. So handy to the caravan park. Highly recommended.

We have had dinner at this place so many times. The food is exceptionally good and the owners so lovely. We have tried Thai in different countries and in many places in Australia too. Our family agrees to say that this is one of the best! Do yourself a favour if you like food and don't miss it if you are around..

The location itself isn't something really special as well as the ambience. However, the food is great wether you're a vegetarian, vegan or a meatlover. The staff was super friendly and we didn't have to wait long for our meals.

The food is consistently great. Vegetables are fresh and plentiful. The flavours are to die for and if you like a bit of chili that is available to your liking. Prawns are superb and duck is sensational
