The Ambitious Act - South Melbourne

Everything here is fantastic! I can't wait to sample all the dishes on their new summer menu. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and the coffee is always perfect!

This cafe offers a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home the moment you step inside. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this South Melbourne gem. The staff are incredibly welcoming and happy to chat, the coffee is excellent, and the warm banana bread was delightful. The decor is charming, the chairs are comfortable, and it's a great spot for creatives to gather. We’re definitely planning to return soon!

While Melbourne is full of fabulous coffee locations, The Ambitious Act is definitely one of the best. Rich, full flavoured coffee, perfect temperature and beautifully textured milk in the mugs of latte we consumed while sitting indoors to escape the brisk morning air. Try it you won't be disappointed!

The perfect spot to get away from Downtown Melbourne. My sister and I dined in Ambitious Act at the perfect time and day, after 10am on a Monday. We sat under the array of plants hanging from the ceiling and potted plants along the front window display. My strong soy FW tasted beautifully, my sister enjoyed her HC. For breakfast I devoured the Mixed Mushrooms w halloumi, pan fried garlic mushrooms w smashed hazelnuts on house made ciabatta *Delicious! My sister ordered the Chilli Scramble, Eggs scrambled w gochugaru chilli oil, fresh chilli, spring onion and fried shallots on HM ciabatta. My sister was thrilled when she noticed the bouncyness of the eggs and loved taste too! Thank you for a delicious meal and experience. Ladies taking care of the joint were extremely lovely. Thank you!
