Wow, I've lived in South Melbourne for a decade and have struggled to find a decent Thai place. Red Petite is AWESOME. My friend and I searched on trip advisor and that's how we ended up eating here. Everything was delicious, best tom yum and chilli basil beef. Do yourself a favour and try it for yourself.

We stumbled on this tiny Thai restaurant near the South Melbourne Town Hall after visiting the local op shop. We timed our visit perfectly as the small amount of tables inside the restaurant were rapidly filled with the overflow of customers relegated to the plastic picnic tables and chairs outside. We chose vegetarian curries with jasmine rice from the extensive menu which arrived quickly and were delicious and very generous in size.
