Oiishi Japanese Cuisine

I have visited Oiishi many times with friends, family and with my other half. Every time our meal has been fantastic. Food is full of flavour and just delicious. We have brought my dad to Oiishi three times now- for context,he is notoriously fussy and never finishes a meal. Oiishi is the first place I’ve taken him to that he not only finishes his meal, but actually enjoys his food. For me, there’s no bigger compliment to a restaurant. We will be back soon :

Not bad but not great. Starters more flavoursome than the mains. Went for hot dishes (not sushi) and they were a bit gluggy and not especially flavoursome (and a bit of gristle in the chicken in one). Not sure I’d come back which is a shame as had high hopes and love Japanese food.

Tried this for the first time recently. Haven’t went to Japanese restaurants as I (mistakenly) thought it wouldn’t be particularly good for vegetarian. I was well off the mark. Shichimi Tofu was lovely followed by Yasai Yaki noodles. First visit but won’t be the last. Service was very good too.

A fabulous restaurant! The best in East Kilbride! We go every time we are in the area. The food is absolutely delicious and staff are always pleasant and provide excellent service. Can’t wait to return.

I’ve only sat in the restaurant once (I felt it was a bit too intimate for me) but I often order food to collect and it is always spot on! Absolutely love the bento boxes.
