Walnut Fish - South Lakeland

The restaurant is very expensive and the food is only average. I was disappointed with the small portion of fish, Haggis, and only one serving of chips for £17. I definitely will not be returning.

What a terrible overpriced chip shop, I thought the prices we pay back home on the South Coast were expensive but this place is on another level, £13.00 for fish and chips. Only dropped in for a couple of portions of chips to go with our Chilli we had waiting for us back at our accommodation but this place failed at the most basic task of a chip shop and that is to cook chips, everything appears to be cooked to order and it would appear uncooked chips are added to already cooking chips when other people order after you as both our portions included some aneamic looking barely cooked chips along with crunchy uncooked ones, what a waste of £9 for 2 portions of chips and totally spoilt our T, they also don't serve peoples food in the order that you order as someone that came in several customers after us was given their food before us. Had much better fish chips and much cheaper a week ago at another chip shop by the waterside

Big spacious fish and chip shop located in a very accessible road, you can eat in or take away. The food was fresh and delicious… the curry sauce was delicious… prices are affordable. The service was nice and polite. You can pay with card or cash.

I had chips and mushy peas. It was all piping hot. The peas we lovely. The chips were very delicious and had a golden colour. I'm not sure if the cut their chips themselves as the had a very fresh taste to them (as did the peas)

Great food for a stroll around the park fish was tasty batter was perfect chips perfectly cooked will be back on our next visit
