Bidrage med feedbackSuperb food great service , was very busy so a little wait but not an unacceptable one an apology for it it was well worth the wait, chicken leek pie was beautiful with huge chunks of chicken golden crispy chips. Belgian waffle was also delicious would highly recommend it here
Great staff, comfortable rooms and beds , excellent food and very caring owners Lynn and Ray along with their son . We were trapped in severe weather , they wanted to try and come and rescue us , kept in constant telephone contact. Wonderful!
Used to live in the area and have n't been here for years. However my mum is still local so we thought it would be nice to do a trip down memory lane. It was great, the environment is nicely laid out, there was no issue finding a table for three even on a Wednesday at half term, when they were already comfortably busy. The staff were friendly and efficient and the food was good quality pub grub with generous helpings. There also appeared to be regular themed nights to maintain local interest. Well done one and all keep up the good work.
A Sunday evening treat and we decided to revisit this small Pub just outside Kendal. we had been before but it was well over a year ago . situated by the side of the main road towards Endmoor from Kendal there is a good sized parking area to the right of building , a short walk over even ground to the front door ,no step, and a warm welcome from new management with a very attentive style, traditional pub grub for both of us, Roast Beef with all the trimmings and a pleasant surprise was that all the ingredients were fresh last time we visited it was mostly from frozen we enjoyed just a main course on this visit even though there were some tempting desserts on offer . we will be back !
What a brilliant find! Had a super time on Saturday when we went with friends to the Punchbowl for evening dinner. Really friendly and efficient service and a good selection on the menu as well as four specials. In the end three of us went for the 'Butternut Squash Soup ' whilst the four went for the 'Pate ' which was a meal in itself! For the main courses two went for the 'Fresh Crab Salad ' which was served with chips, one went for the 'Pie of the Day ' and the fourth decided on the 'Scampi. ' The puddings were a no-brainer as 'Sticky Toffee Pudding ' with ice cream is always a favourite. Excellent, well presented food with friendly service. We will definitely be back!!!
