Fryertux - South Lakeland

Awful !! Chips are hard, the fish is watery and tasteless… my mum spat it out they were that hard. And couldn’t eat the fish because it wasn’t cooked properly….

Whilst there are many fish and chip shops in the town and the surrounding villages, all claiming to be the best.! I have to say when we walked in here the other evening, we were greeted with a friendly smile by the owner Colin, he...was informative, he went through the whole frying process , with Pride in his product. I have to say he wasn’t wrong, probably the best fish and chips and side orders we have had in many years. As Colin informed us he only uses the best in Frying oils, I have to say the fish tasted fresh, moist with a beautiful crisp coating,. I have to say looking forward to my next visit.

First class fish and chips and all freshly cooked to order Nice and friendly staff This is on my list of places to go If you want the best go and try them you wouldn’t be disappointed

Didn’t know anything about the shop visited on holiday but thoroughly enjoyed the fish and chips from here. The batter was amazing! Friendly service and reasonable prices

Best fish and chips in Kendal. The staff are very friendly and the food stays at an exceptionally high standard.
