Lumbini Nepalese Restaurant and Cafe

First visit and Had a meal with family last night at this restaurant and it was fantastic. Menue choice is great and the food was the best that we have eaten for a long while. We will be going back again and also recommending it to others. Plenty of parking around so easy to get to.

Wonderful to have such a great restaurant near home. First time visit tonite with hubby. Didnt know what to expect - fantastic !! Linen tablecloths and lovely cutlery and plates. Service great - host made us feel very welcome. Had mom mo chicken dumplings and onion bhaji with dipping sauces for entree. The flavours were fantastic and sauces so complimented the food. Mains had the tandoori tasting plate, butter chicken with naan and raita. The servings were generous, we even brought some home. Food was wonderful - we will definately be back here again.Wonderful to have such a great restaurant near home.

I was brought up eating curry (folks lived india & Africa) but worry about the cleanliness of many Indian restaurants. This is now my favourite by a long way. Comfortable seats & quality fittings. Friendly staff & clean kitchen. The food is fabulous & inexpensive at around $20 to $25/head. Liquor store is next door. The restaurant is small so you need to book ahead on weekends. This is a hidden treasure worth visiting.

We went out for dinner for 4 adults for my belated birthday, it was terrific, we had Momo's for entree a mixture of steamed chicken and fried chicken Momo's, they don't usually do the Fried ones, but they did on request, as my husband speaks Nepalese, so this was a bonus. We then had Goat curry,goat biriyani,dhahl, Tandoori grill and Garlic naans, this food was to die for, then to top it off we had rice pudding Ras malai and Lal mohan which is their version of Gulab Jammin, which was all delicious. I t is a BYO it has soft drinks and Mango Lassi's which are also to die for, the prices are so reasonble and take-away is also an option with free delivery if you live in this locality, I will definitely be going back again soon.

Wow! We are always on the hunt for local dining experiences and were really impressed here. Food was excellent at a great price. We left full and enjoyed a byo bottle of wine for under $100. Service was exceptional. Can't wait to get back to try other menu items. Momos were delicious
