Brickley's Ice Cream - South Kingstown

The ice cream at this restaurant is delicious. I tried the strawberry and Oreo flavors and both were really good. The waffle cone was also tasty. There is street parking available at this location, and there is a small seating area where you can enjoy your ice cream right next to the restaurant.

Throughout the years, I have always seen a long line of people driving by this restaurant. I never had the desire to try it until Holy Cow closed. I finally decided to give it a try tonight, and I am quite confused by the experience. It could be a matter of personal taste preference, but I found that the chocolate flavors were lacking any taste. I ordered a chocolate coconut almond chocolate brownie, but I could barely taste any chocolate. I only ate a quarter of each flavor and had my husband try them because I thought it was just me. There were also no brownie pieces in my scoop, but that wasn't a big deal. I decided to try the coconut flavor next, but once again, it lacked any discernible taste. Now, after about 45 minutes, all I can taste is a lingering chemical aftertaste on the back of my tongue that I can't seem to get rid of. My husband ordered a heath and cake batter flavor, but he only took a few bites before discarding them. If you enjoy sweet, milky desserts, then this might be the place for you. However, if you prefer richer, more flavorful treats, then this place may not be to your liking.

I highly recommend the chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. It is absolutely delicious!

Really good! Maybe just a bit too sweet. But the texture and flavors are very well balanced. We tried 5 different flavors and loved them all. Will definitely come again. BTW the line outside looks scary, but moves rather quickly, their staff works efficiently
