Bidrage med feedbackAfter my nine-month visit, I ordered a scone and tea at this restaurant. I initially thought it was a nice place to bring my son, but I was disappointed when the staff informed me that I couldn't bring my own food for my baby, which was a rice cake and bio-crispen. They explained that they didn't have baby food on the menu and mentioned that if they made an exception for me, they would have to do it for everyone. Additionally, when the staff cleared the table, they mistakenly took my unfinished tea. Overall, I will not be returning to this restaurant and would not recommend it to other families. There are better options available nearby.
We have been visiting the tea room for a long time and it has never missed a beat. The food is really tasty and the coffee always perfect. Not sure that Lucy of Lincoln visited the right place if she is expecting gigantic portions better...she stay with the type of food garden centres dish up. As for dogs, thats the trouble with city folk, come out to the country and complain about animals, she needs to get real!!! The tea room is spotless and every table is cleaned after the customer leaves. It's a real treasure of a place and well behaved dogs are welcomed, so Lucy of Lincoln your loss, our gain.
Called for a coffee after seeing a sign for the tea room on the A17. We were tempted by the wonderful scones on display and ordered one and a cake. However when the scone arrived it bore no resemblance to those on the counter and...when I enquired about the difference I was told those on the counter were only display scones and several weeks old!! Those we were given were very basic and could have been bought in any Suoermarket very disappointing
Called in for coffee and cake one morning. The cakes were very small portions for the price and no pastry fork with which to eat it! Dogs are allowed and this is not hygienic as they jump up at tables where the next customers have...to eat. Will not be visiting again I'm afraid. Over priced for what they serve.
If you catch it at the right time on the right day this place is something of a hidden gem but on weekends and sunny days it can be quite crowded so pick your time right. The breakfasts here are the best and there is...a great choice of different options including a healthy one! In my opinion the breakfast is the best thing on the menu as some of the other choices are a bit too adventurous for me. I'd like to see a toasted sandwich on the menu as the previous owner used to do a great one and I think it was his best seller! The coffee is good here, though I think a previous reviewer mentioned that they don't do skinny' or semi skimmed milk here, which I find very strange in this day and age. On the whole this is a fabulous little place with a lot of character and if you're in the area, give it a go.
