Rose Crown - South Holland

My kids had a great time at this restaurant! The pool was fantastic and they spent hours playing in the park. I'm giving it four stars because we had a wonderful week there, but it's not a fancy place - you get what you pay for. The caravans are a bit worn and could use a thorough cleaning, and the staff wasn't the friendliest, but I can understand dealing with rowdy kids all summer. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. There's also a pool table for older kids and washing facilities and showers for campers.

During our four-day stay at the restaurant, we were slightly disappointed with the appearance of the site. It looked unloved and in need of some TLC, with old permanent caravans and static homes that appeared rough. Despite heavy rain causing issues with parking our motorhomes, the owners were kind and helpful. The pub was acceptable, and there was a small swimming pool on the premises. The showers and toilets were in need of updating, but the water was wonderfully hot. Unfortunately, there was no internet connection available on the site, which was a major downside for us and other guests. Overall, the owners were pleasant, and we enjoyed our stay, but we likely wouldn't return in the future. The site is a bit pricey considering the amenities and their condition, but it could be a good option for families with young children due to the play area and pool. On the other hand, it may not be as appealing for couples.

This is a wonderful restaurant with friendly and helpful locals, creating a nice atmosphere. There is also a pleasant camping/caravan site attached, featuring a nice swimming pool and play area for children. While the attention to detail could be improved, we were quite content and relaxed during our visit. If you are seeking refinement, this may not be the ideal place for you. Overall, we were satisfied with the service and location, both rated at a 4. We look forward to visiting again in the future.

The greeting was unfriendly, the toilets and showers were dirty. There were unrestrained dogs running around and the bar was filled with teenagers on tablets. However, the prices at the bar were acceptable. I will not be returning.
