Cley Hall - South Holland

At one point, the sweet was so hard that the person next to me attempted to spit it out, only for the spit to end up on the table. There was a minor incident where my wife decided to use a vape in between courses, and a staff member discreetly informed her that it was not allowed. They mentioned that a complaint had been made and threatened a fine as well as turning off the fire alarm. My wife was concerned that she had disturbed another table, so she went to apologize, but they had not been aware of any complaints. It was evident that the staff at the restaurant needed better training in customer service, as they seemed to have a problem interacting with customers and lacked a friendly demeanor.

This was my first visit to Cley Hall restaurant. The atmosphere was lovely and the presentation of the food was impressive. There was a wide variety of cakes to choose from. The staff was attentive and willing to provide extra tea, coffee, or fruit juice. They even catered to vegan dietary needs. The prices were also very reasonable. Overall, it was a pleasant afternoon experience.

We are local, have seen this on their website and have booked a table. the recently renovated hotel is very clean and smart with a warm welcome and beautiful staff. To enjoy a relaxing pre-dinner drink in the bar/hotel reception area, the arrangement of more practical seating...and tables is essential. the menu seems to be fashionable trendy" and we felt that the addition of some traditional dressing would fit better to evening meal for locals. the dining room/functional room is very well furnished and offers an excellent garden view. food quality and service were very good and cheap. we're coming back. Thank you!

A hidden gem. we have booked the functional space for a family celebration to celebrate the baptism of my great sohne. the room was spacious and light with plenty of space for the adult to relax and play the children. that was delicious and I thought. that was thought and well presented with an adjustment to the afternoon tea for the children. the service was excellent and added to the beautiful relaxed feeling of the hotel. we all enjoyed time in the beautiful and peaceful gardens - perfect in the sunshine. thanks to all those who make sams special day so perfect. I would recommend cley hall to other family celebrations.

Quality food, staff and venue. Highly recommended for large and intimate occasions. Great selection of food drinks, regular menu changes.
