Harbor Light Brewery - South Haven

I've traveled all over the world and have tried various types of beer and cider. Harbor Light has an excellent selection that caters to every palate. Tom, the owner, is one of the nicest and friendliest people I’ve ever met. - Tim P

I’m giving this restaurant two stars instead of one because the service and atmosphere were excellent. I don’t often write Yelp reviews, but I felt compelled to share my thoughts after being lured in by a five-star review (I’m looking at you, Matthew). Unfortunately, this was easily the worst beer I've ever had at a brewery. I've encountered bad beer before, but never to the point where I couldn't finish a flight. My partner and I tried a flight of five, and every single one was disappointing. He typically has a higher tolerance than I do, yet the look on his face with each new taste was almost painful to witness. On the bright side, the popcorn was enjoyable.

The service and atmosphere are fantastic, but the beer was truly disappointing—some of the worst I've ever tasted. It had a rating of 4.5 stars when I visited, and I feel misled. I ordered a flight but couldn’t finish any of them. Come on, Harbor Light. Come on, beer enthusiasts. Do better!

Good beer. They don't serve food, but you can order it from neighboring restaurants. They do have free popcorn, and the staff was friendly.

This is a nice spot downtown South Haven to grab a beer and there is no food. The guys behind the bar were very personable and fun to talk with. Maybe it was just me, but I was not too big a fan of the beer. For example, there was a mango wheat ale that tasted like artificial mango flavoring.
