Bidrage med feedbackHad an early evening meal here on my birthday. Tasty fish cakes were eaten by myself but the accompanying salad was a little traditional and unimaginative. My hubby ate a tasty pie but again the accompanying veg was very 'boring ' peas and carrots. I certainly wish the newish owners all the best in the future as it 's great that this pub is open again in good walking countryside. I heard talk of a wood burning stove being installed and I 'm sure as the pub becomes more established more updating will happen as the decor is slightly 1970 's in places.
Absolutely delicious lunch, friendly, efficient, cosy, open fires, good coffee, lovely relaxed atmosphere. We all loved it and will definitely be back.
Lovely pub. Warm welcome, sat by the log burner after a walk on the moors. Great pub lunch, generous portions followed by coffee and mince pies. Delicious.
Six of us descended after a walk on the moors. Debating what meat was likely to be on offer was delighted to see that all options were covered. Most of us went for pork, with one lamb and a couple of turkey and ham pies. All served with a good selection of veg, ample portions and good service. Some of us managed pudding, quite expensive but equally good to eat. Washed down with a local real ale all in all good value. Very busy, sunshine helped but would suggest best to reserve
Friendly staff, amazing food and intriguing and cosy historical building in a beautiful setting. Sausage sandwiches were spot on and cakes for dessert were delicious. Casual laid-back atmosphere, dogs welcome.
